Concert details
On 19 April at 11:30 a.m., the Hanover Chamber Orchestra will continue its matinee series at the Roemer-Pelizaeus Museum in Hildesheim. This concert also ties in thematically with the permanent Egyptian exhibition and highlights the fascination with the land on the Nile from a musical perspective.
Under the title ‘Music from and about Egypt’, the orchestra will perform works from the 19th and 20th centuries that are characterised by oriental timbres, historical references and the European view of Egyptian culture. The chamber orchestra unfolds its characteristically clear, warm sound, which brings out the colourful scores of these cross-epochal works in a particularly impressive way.
A varied programme that arouses curiosity and once again emphasises the special atmosphere of the museum.
