Under the title ‘New Horizons’, the Hannover Chamber Orchestra invites you to an extraordinary concert at the Tessmar Hannover recording studio on 3 October 2025. Together with singer Ayda Kırcı and her band Anatolien goes Jazz, a sound experience will be created that transcends boundaries and opens up new musical horizons.
The project is under the patronage of Tonkunst Hannover e.V. and brings two worlds together: the tonal depth of a classical orchestra and the rhythmic, improvisational energy of a jazz band. For this rare encounter, Bastian Maas and Helge Adam have created new arrangements that explore this unusual combination of sounds in all its diversity.
The focus is on sounds from Anatolia, which appear in a new light: traditional melodies, modern jazz harmonies and orchestral colours interweave to create a distinctive soundscape. Musical cultures and styles merge without losing their individual characteristics – a dialogue between past and future, between East and West.
With ‘New Horizons’, the Hannover Chamber Orchestra, together with Ayda Kırcı and Anatolien goes Jazz, is embarking on an artistic experiment that builds bridges and takes listeners on a journey into unexpected soundscapes.
