In 2017, a group from the Hanover Chamber Orchestra went on its first guest performance tour to Daegu. Both cities are now UNESCO Cities of Music, and the relationship between the Daegu Concert House and the Hanover Chamber Orchestra has become very stable.
Following a successful concert visit to Daegu in February 2025, we are now expecting another group of musicians from there for joint concerts in Hanover and Lower Saxony. The “special guest” will be Yunsuk Eom, who plays a 25-string gayageum (arched zither). In February, she premiered the new work “Moah” by Daegu-based composer Dong-Myung Kim. This work is now receiving its German premiere, accompanied by Mozart's Divertimento KV 138 and Pjotr Iljitsch Tschaikowski's famous Serenade in C major, Op. 48.
The concert can also be viewed as a livestream recording on the Tonstudio Tessmars YouTube channel.
